Help your students get road-ready with our online driver education course offered through CyberActive. The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) approves our online driver education course, preparing new drivers for the roadway.

Assessment Information:

After each chapter, students take a short quiz that they must pass to proceed to the next section. Each quiz consists of multiple-choice questions designed to prepare the student for the final exam. The score obtained on the quiz will not count against the final course score.

The final exam consists of 40 multiple-choice questions. Students must score 85 percent or better to pass the exam. If a student fails the exam, they have an unlimited number of chances to retake the test.

Enrollment Restrictions:

Students must be at least 15.5 years old to apply for a learner‘s permit at the DMV. Since a DMV Certificate of Completion is only valid for 180 days from the date of issuance, students younger than 15 should not enroll in this program. Once a student has obtained a learner’s permit, they must enroll in an in-car driver education school. After completing driving school and possessing a learner’s permit for six months, students may take the final driving test to get their unrestricted license.

Completion Certificate:

Upon completion of the course, CyberActive will send a Certificate of Completion (Form DL400C) to the DMV. Students will also receive a copy of their certificate. This form must be presented at the DMV to apply for a learner’s permit.

This course satisfies California’s classroom driver education requirement to earn a learner’s permit, which is required before enrolling in an in-car driving school.
