This course introduces users to PowerPoint 2019 and covers: managing presentations, slides, text, shapes, and images, tables, charts, and SmartArt, 3D models and media, and transitions and animations. Students will learn basic terminology, modify slide masters and layouts, add/remove properties, set up slide shows and print options, use zoom techniques, add headers and footers, apply formatting and styles, insert hyperlinks and sections, resize and crop images, create shapes, insert audio/video clips, and set transition/animation effects and motion paths.

TCH430 Digital Media: Animate with Exam Prep is MSi curriculum that prepares students for the Adobe Certified Professional Exam. This course focuses on the basics of working in the animation industry, such as identifying the purpose, audience, and audience needs for preparing content, communicating design plans, understanding copyright and permissions, key animation, and interactive media terminology. Students will learn how to use core tools and features to create and modify vector elements, manage layers, apply basic auto-correction methods, manipulate digital graphics and media, apply effects, manage audio and video, and export assets for various platforms.

Beginning with an overview of mythology and different kinds of folklore, students will journey with ancient heroes as they slay dragons and outwit gods, follow fearless warrior women into battle, and watch as clever monsters outwit those stronger than themselves. They will explore the universality and social significance of myths and folklore and see how these are still used to shape society today.

Building on the prior prerequisite course, students will examine the form and function of even more body systems. Students will learn about the structure, function, and interrelation between the lymphatic, immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and the endocrine systems. The reproductive system is also discussed along with hereditary traits and genetics. Finally, students will explore the importance of accurate patient documentation as well as technology used in the industry.

Discover the functions and purposes of the skeletal, muscular, nervous, and cardiovascular systems as well as diseases that affect those systems. Becoming familiar with the terminology of the human body is essential to those pursuing health sciences or wanting to gain a greater sense of how the human body works.

This introductory design course is for students who want to create compelling, professional-looking graphic designs and photos. Students learn the basics of composition, color, and layout through the use of hands-on projects that allow them to use their creativity while developing important foundational skills. They use GIMP software to create a graphic design portfolio with a wide variety of projects involving the mastery of technical topics, such as working with layers and masks, adding special effects, and effectively using typefaces to create visual impact. The projects help students develop the skills they need to create and edit images of their own.
