Help your students get road-ready with our 30-hour online education course offered through CyberActive. The Utah Department of Education (DOE) approves the course to prepare new drivers for the roadway. A driver education course is required to obtain your Utah driver license for anyone 18 years of age and younger, although it is not necessary to obtain a learner’s permit. This driver education course satisfies this state’s classroom driver education requirements.

Assessment Information:

After each chapter, students take a short quiz that they must pass to proceed to the next section. Each quiz consists of multiple-choice questions designed to prepare the student for the final exam. The score obtained on the quiz will not count against the final course score.

The final exam is online and may be taken as many times as necessary until the student has scored 85 percent or higher to complete the course.

 Enrollment Restrictions:

Students must be 15.5 years old to take this course and at least 16 to apply for a learner’s permit.

 Completion Certificate:

A Certificate of Completion is sent directly to the student and must be presented to the DOE along with a certificate for the completion of six hours of in-car training. These certificates qualify the student for an insurance discount and an unrestricted license.

 Course Highlights:

Students may start and stop the course as needed.

Students may complete the course on any computer or mobile device.

Streaming videos, driving simulations, and 3D animated video games keep students engaged.
