Help your students get road-ready with our 30-hour online driver education course offered through CyberActive. Approved by the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV), the course helps prepare new drivers for the roadway. The course features timed lessons that require students to spend a minimum amount of time on each page before continuing. However, students cannot exceed three hours in the course environment per day.

Assessment Information:

After each chapter, students take a short quiz that they must pass to proceed to the next section. Each quiz consists of multiple-choice questions designed to prepare the student for the final exam. The score obtained on the quiz will not count against the final course score.

The final exam is online and may be taken as many times as necessary until the student has scored 85 percent or better to complete the course.

Enrollment Restrictions:

Students must be at least 15.5 years old to apply for a learner’s permit at the BMV if they have completed a driver education course. If not, they are required to wait until they are 16 years old.

Completion Certificate:

A Certificate of Completion is sent directly to the student and must be presented at the BMV when applying for a permit.

Course Highlights:

The course satisfies Indiana’s classroom driver education requirement to earn a learner’s permit, which is required before enrolling in an in-car driving school.

Students must answer 30 personal security questions during online enrollment that will be used to verify their identity during the course. The course activity monitor will prevent the student from opening another browser window while taking the course and kick students off the lesson page if they are inactive (without clicking or scrolling on the page) for five minutes.
