Concluding their investigation of Game Design 1, students will:

  • Develop an understanding of games and gameplay.
  • Review the history of the gaming industry.
  • Develop an understanding of game design.
  • Develop an understanding of the in-depth requirements of creating a game.
  • Develop a game prototype.
  • Learn to link game events together.
  • Learn about level design in game design.
  • Learn about the complexity of artwork that goes into creating a video game.
  • Learn to test a game and ensure everything works as intended.
  • Learn how to market a video game.
