High School (Teacher-Led)

Upon enrollment in a teacher-led course, your student will be considered a part-time student enrolled in K12 International Academy, a K12 private online school for grades K-12. As these are credit-bearing courses, teachers will grade and provide feedback on assignments and assessments and provide synchronous instructional support.

    This is the second semester of a two part course, offered over a condensed 4 week term.

    This credit recovery course is for students who have previously taken and failed or withdrew from this course or an equivalent course and are looking to recover the credit. In this course, students focus on the chemistry of living things: the cell, genetics, evolution, the structure and function of living things, and ecology. Students follow a program of online study days alternating with review-and-assessment days. Lessons include extensive animations, hands-on laboratory activities, reference book study, and collaborative activities with virtual classmates. This is the second semester of SCI206.

Instructions for hands-on labs are included, for which K12 provides all lab materials that cannot easily be found in the home.
