In this 11th Grade English course, students read and analyze works of American literature from colonial to contemporary times, including poetry, short stories, novels, drama, and nonfiction. The literary works provide opportunities for critical writing, creative projects, and online discussions. Students develop vocabulary skills and refresh their knowledge of grammar, usage, and mechanics in preparation for standardized tests.
In this High School course, students investigate why human beings think and act the way they do. This is an introductory course that broadly covers several areas of psychology. Instructional material presents theories and current research for students to critically evaluate and understand. Students learn how to define and use key terms of psychology and how to apply psychological principles to their own lives.
This course introduces students to the concepts of trigonometry. Students will learn about the basic trigonometric functions and how to graph these functions. In this comprehensive high school science course, students investigate the chemistry of living things: the cell, genetics, evolution, the structure and function of living things, and ecology.
