K12’s online high school courses set your teenage student up for post-high school success—whether that’s college or a job. Used as supplemental instruction or as part of your own high school homeschool curriculum, each high school online course is designed to challenge your student while offering them the support of knowledgeable teachers.
Upon enrollment in teacher-led online high school courses, your student will be considered a part-time student enrolled in K12 International Academy. As these are credit-bearing courses, teachers will grade and provide feedback on assignments and assessments and provide synchronous instructional support. English, math, science, and history courses are available in multiple placement levels: core, comprehensive, honors, and Advanced Placement (AP)®. A variety of electives are also offered for you to choose from, such as psychology, web design, and even personal finance. To ensure you’re happy with your chosen program, K12 offers affordable payment options as well as a 30-day, money-back guarantee.

In this High School course, students investigate why human beings think and act the way they do. This is an introductory course that broadly covers several areas of psychology. Instructional material presents theories and current research for students to critically evaluate and understand. Students learn how to define and use key terms of psychology and how to apply psychological principles to their own lives.
This course introduces students to the concepts of trigonometry. Students will learn about the basic trigonometric functions and how to graph these functions. Students will also learn how to solve right triangles and how to use law of Sines and Law of Cosines. Students will also explore how these concepts connect to real-world applications.
This high school course prepares students for more advanced courses while they develop algebraic fluency, learn the skills needed to solve equations, and perform manipulations with numbers, variables, equations, and inequalities. Topics include simplifying expressions involving variables, fractions, exponents, and radicals; and working with integers, rational numbers, and irrational numbers. This course includes all the topics in MTH123, but includes more challenging assignments and optional challenge activities. Each semester also includes an independent honors project.
This high school math course builds upon algebraic concepts covered in Algebra I and prepares students for advanced-level courses. Students extend their knowledge and understanding by solving open-ended problems and thinking critically. Topics include conic sections; functions and their graphs; quadratic functions; inverse functions; and advanced polynomial functions. Students are introduced to rational, radical, exponential, and logarithmic functions; sequences and series; and data analysis.
In this comprehensive high school science course, students investigate the chemistry of living things: the cell, genetics, evolution, the structure and function of living things, and ecology. The program consists of in-depth online lessons including extensive animations, an associated reference book, collaborative explorations, and hands-on laboratory experiments students can conduct at home. K12 provides all lab materials that cannot easily be found in the home.
Students begin their introduction to Spanish by focusing on the four key areas of world language study: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course represents an ideal blend of language learning pedagogy and online learning. Each unit consists of a new vocabulary theme and grammar concept, reading and listening comprehension activities, speaking and writing activities, multimedia cultural presentations, and interactive activities and practices which reinforce vocabulary and grammar.
In this comprehensive high school math course, students are challenged to recognize and work with geometric concepts in various contexts. They build on ideas of inductive and deductive reasoning, logic, concepts, and techniques of Euclidean plane and solid geometry. They develop deeper understandings of mathematical structure, method, and applications of Euclidean plane and solid geometry. Students use visualizations, spatial reasoning, and geometric modeling to solve problems.
This high school science course surveys all key areas of chemistry, including atomic structure, chemical bonding and reactions, solutions, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, organic chemistry, and nuclear chemistry. The course includes direct online instruction and related assessments, used with a problem-solving book. Instructions for hands-on labs are included, for which K12 provides all lab materials that cannot easily be found in the home.
